     The upperside pictured is unusually orange; most individuals will have significantly less orange, at least
in Georgia.  Florida has a higher percentage of individuals with the orange flush.  As far as the underside goes,
the pictured red form is more frequent in the fall than spring and summer; the underside of the hindwing is
typically tan, with a few small eyespots in the submarginal area.
